Sheikh Hazza Evaluates Cybersecurity Strategies in Al Ain

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, welcomed a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) at Al Maqam Palace. The meeting was led by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Council.

Sheikh Hazza received an update on the Council’s crucial work to bolster the digital infrastructure of the UAE and enhance the nation's capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These initiatives aim to create a robust and secure digital ecosystem that aligns with global technological advancements and supports various businesses and institutions.

Additionally, Sheikh Hazza evaluated plans to broaden the CyberE71 Incubator Programme, the Emirate’s primary initiative designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. This expanded effort will target students from schools and universities, along with entrepreneurs in the Al Ain Region, emphasizing skills enhancement and the development of advanced cybersecurity solutions to safeguard cyberspace and bolster the digital economy.

His Highness reiterated the importance of nurturing cybersecurity talent nationwide to fortify the UAE’s cyber defense capabilities. He emphasized that a secure digital environment is vital for enhancing economic productivity, improving global competitiveness, and expediting the shift towards an economy based on knowledge and innovation.

Furthermore, Sheikh Hazza pointed out the significant need for cultivating cybersecurity awareness among individuals and organizations to combat digital threats, protect national achievements, and achieve future objectives in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. He regarded such awareness as essential for sustainable development in key economic sectors.

The delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council expressed gratitude to Sheikh Hazza for the insightful discussion, asserting that it underscores his commitment to pivotal sectors and his ongoing support for initiatives that enhance digital readiness and fortify the cybersecurity landscape in Al Ain and throughout the emirate.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
