Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) is taking part in the 10th edition of Air Cargo Europe 2025, the world’s biggest trade show for air cargo and logistics. The event is happening in Munich, Germany, from June 2 to June 5, 2025. This major event brings together top companies and organizations from all over the world who work in logistics, supply chain, and air freight.
The SAA team is led by Ali Salim Al Midfa, who is the Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority. He is joined by Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, the Director of the Authority, along with other important members of the team.
Showing Future Plans and Growth in Logistics
Ali Salim Al Midfa said that Sharjah Airport is taking part in this event to show how it is becoming stronger globally. The airport wants to grow in international markets and prove itself as a key cargo hub in the region.
This trade show gives Sharjah Airport a big chance to share its future plans for air cargo, show off current logistics projects, and talk about the advantages it offers compared to others. It also helps the airport find new partners around the world. These partnerships will support Sharjah’s growth and match the UAE’s larger goal of creating a strong, smart, and diverse economy.
He also shared that the airport is working on many projects that will help it handle over 25 million passengers every year by 2027. At the same time, the airport is improving its sustainability and making sure that all services, like cargo, ground handling, and flights, meet global standards.
A Busy and Exciting Booth at the Event
Sharjah Airport’s booth at the event is drawing a lot of attention from visitors and industry experts. At the booth, they are showing new development projects that are being built to meet the rising demand for air cargo.
Some of the things being highlighted include larger cargo buildings, smart cargo systems, and digital tools that make shipment tracking and handling faster and easier.
The booth also shows how Sharjah Airport offers top-quality, reliable services. Thanks to its great location—right between Asia, Europe, and Africa—the airport connects to many regional and global airlines, making it a smart choice for businesses.
Building Partnerships Around the World
The Sharjah Airport team is also meeting with many international companies, like cargo service providers, logistics firms, and technology companies. They are talking about ways to work together on future projects.
At the same time, they are explaining the benefits of doing business at Sharjah Airport, such as special incentives and easy procedures for investors and partners.
Playing a Bigger Role in Global Air Cargo
Sharjah Airport’s presence at this big event shows how serious it is about helping with global supply chains and offering smart, advanced cargo solutions. These solutions help improve air freight connections between different continents.
In the first three months of 2025, Sharjah Airport already showed strong growth. It handled more than 52,000 tons of air cargo, plus 3,000 tons through sea-air integration. This shows the airport’s ability to adapt to different needs and its growing role in the air cargo world.
