Rokos Capital Management Establishes Office in Abu Dhabi Following ADGM License Secured

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has officially announced that Rokos Capital Management (RCM) has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi, following the acquisition of its Financial Services Permission (FSP) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

Situated in Sky Tower, the new office signifies a pivotal development in RCM's strategy for global expansion, as it adds Abu Dhabi to its network of offices in London, New York, and Singapore.

Chris Irish, the Head of Middle East and Head of Finance at Rokos Capital Management, remarked that obtaining the full regulatory license in ADGM is a vital milestone for the firm's growth in the region. He further indicated that plans to enhance the team and build robust relationships with local investors are underway.

Since its inception in 2015, ADGM has quickly positioned itself as one of the premier financial hubs in the area. Its strong legal and regulatory framework, consistent with global standards, empowers international companies to operate with confidence and clarity.

ADGM continues to attract international financial institutions, bolstered by Abu Dhabi’s stable economic climate, business-friendly regulations, and long-term diversification initiatives. The financial center is increasingly recognized as a gateway for entities seeking regional and global market access.

Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, expressed his enthusiasm about Rokos Capital Management's establishment. He noted that the firm’s presence enhances ADGM’s growing ecosystem of international financial actors and underlines the rising appeal of Abu Dhabi as a vital investment hub.
