The Globe Soccer Awards organizing committee has officially launched public voting for its 16th edition. Scheduled for December 28 at Atlantis The Royal, Dubai, fans globally can now vote for their favorite players, clubs, and coaches across several categories.
This year's awards feature approximately 15 categories, with nine available for public voting until November 27 to build the final shortlists. A second voting round will take place from December 3 to 11 to determine the winners. The outcomes will be influenced by both public votes and insights from a jury made up of renowned football figures, including the likes of Marcelo Lippi and Iker Casillas.
Categories open to public voting include Best Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Best Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player. Fans can help crown the finalists in these prestigious awards.
Paris Saint-Germain leads the nominations, boasting several players from their UEFA Champions League-winning squad in the Best Player category. Alongside their stars, PSG also has contenders in Best Midfielder, Best Forward, and Best Emerging Player.
The Best Player list comprises 25 elite international talents such as Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, and Mohamed Salah. In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona seeks a third consecutive win for Best Women’s Player, competing alongside teammates and members of England’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025-winning squad.
Among the clubs competing for Best Women’s Club is Arsenal, while Paris Saint-Germain and other notable clubs vie for the Best Men’s Club title, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Notable coaching candidates include Luis Enrique of Paris Saint-Germain and Hansi Flick of Barcelona. The Best Middle East Player award features Cristiano Ronaldo alongside other football stars.
Tommaso Bendoni, Founder and CEO of Globe Soccer, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event in Dubai for the 16th time, citing the city’s growing status as a prime location for major sports events, stating the awards will honor football's greatest talents.
In conjunction with the Globe Soccer Awards, LaLiga plans to recognize its 2024–2025 season award winners, including Raphinha for Best Player and Hansi Flick for Best Coach.
The Globe Soccer Awards unite fans and players, celebrating exemplary achievements in football while involving the public in recognizing excellence. This year promises to spotlight outstanding performers, coaches, and clubs in both men’s and women’s football, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global sports hub.
