American golfer Patrick Reed secured the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic, showcasing a strong, composed display at the Emirates Golf Club. Finishing at 14 under par, Reed emerged victorious by four strokes, marking his fourth title on the DP World Tour and his inaugural win in a Rolex Series event.
Reed entered the final round with a four-shot advantage and maintained a steady approach during the front nine, recording eight pars and one bogey. Despite Spain’s David Puig closing the gap with notable birdies on the eighth and ninth holes, Reed regained his footing on the back nine.
He achieved birdies on the 10th and 13th holes, while Puig stumbled with a bogey, allowing Reed to restore his lead to four shots. Remaining focused, he clinched the win with five consecutive pars.
Following the victory, Reed noted the round's challenges but emphasized his patience and dedication to fairway precision. He expressed gratitude toward his caddie for their encouragement during the day.
Andy Sullivan took second place at 10 under par, with French golfer Julien Guerrier in third at nine under. Nicolai Højgaard, Francesco Molinari, and Jayden Schaper finished just behind. David Puig concluded at seven under after incurring a two-shot penalty on the final hole.
The Dallah Trophy was presented to Reed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum amidst a sizable audience at the Emirates Golf Club, attended by numerous officials and business leaders.
South African amateur Christiaan Maas earned the Leading Amateur accolade. The tournament also included junior contests, creative activities, and a focus on sustainable practices.
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic continues to stand out as a premier golf event in the Middle East, with organizers planning for an even grander showcase in 2027.
