Madhuri Dixit Criticised After Nearly Three-Hour Delay at Canada Event

Post by : Mina Rahman

Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit has drawn criticism after reports that she appeared almost three hours late for a scheduled engagement on her Canada tour. The long postponement reportedly left hundreds frustrated, with many sharing complaints online about the event's coordination and clarity.

Promotions listed a 7:30 pm start, but several attendees say the programme did not begin until about 10 pm. Clips circulating on social media capture a brief onstage moment by Dixit, with one video carrying on-screen text advising viewers against attending the tour and urging them to "save your money."

Some spectators called the evening "a waste of time" and "poorly organised," while others exited mid-show and demanded refunds. One attendee described it as the worst performance they had seen, arguing that advertising failed to disclose the limited nature of Dixit's appearance.

Another disgruntled fan complained that after a three-hour wait the audience was met with lengthy talk and minimal music, suggesting organisers showed little regard for ticket-holders' time.

Multiple complaints also point to ticket descriptions that many say overstated the event, leading attendees to expect a fuller concert rather than brief interactions and snippets of songs.

Nevertheless, some supporters defended Dixit, praising her presence and suggesting the shortcomings were down to production rather than the performer. One comment noted the actor appeared graceful and implied logistical failures were behind the issues.

Several attendees have indicated plans to lodge complaints with local consumer authorities over the alleged misrepresentation. To date, neither Madhuri Dixit nor her team has released an official response concerning the incident.
