Kenya Airways has officially resumed its flight operations to Dubai starting Thursday, May 14, following a temporary suspension of its services.
In a statement published on Wednesday, May 13, the airline announced that it will commence with daily flights connecting Nairobi and Dubai. The airline also indicated plans to increase flight frequencies gradually, based on passenger demand and operational needs.
The restoration of the Dubai route is part of Kenya Airways’ commitment to enhance connectivity and offer dependable travel choices for passengers journeying between Kenya and the UAE.
Furthermore, the airline has reassured travellers that the safety of passengers and crew remains its foremost priority as operations restart. It is collaborating closely with relevant aviation authorities to ensure seamless and secure flight services.
This resumption comes on the heels of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority’s announcement regarding the phased reopening of Qatar’s airspace to international carriers. A notice released on April 20 confirmed that international flights at Hamad International Airport will return in stages following a thorough assessment of operational safety and readiness.
According to the aviation regulator, all flights and airport operations adhere to internationally recognized safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of passengers and aviation staff.
The reopening of regional air routes is expected to bolster travel and business activities across the Middle East and Africa, while also enhancing international flight connectivity.
