Jonathan Bailey Declared People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025

Post by : Mina Rahman

English actor Jonathan Bailey has been named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2025, a notable milestone for the 37-year-old. The announcement was made during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, drawing international attention to the accolade.

Widely recognised for his portrayal of Lord Anthony Bridgerton on Netflix's Bridgerton, Bailey said he found the recognition both flattering and surprising. He joked that, apart from close friends, only his dog Benson knew about the honour before it was revealed.

Bailey is preparing for a return to high-profile film roles, including reprising Prince Fiyero in the musical sequel Wicked: For Good after appearing in the franchise's 2024 prequel. He also expanded into action this year with a part in the summer release Jurassic World: Rebirth.

People's annual "Sexiest Man Alive" title is a longstanding cultural marker; former recipients include Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Channing Tatum and Chris Hemsworth. Actor John Krasinski held the 2024 title.

With a body of work that spans theatre, television and cinema, Bailey's increasing global profile and screen presence have positioned him as one of the more prominent actors of his generation.
