Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, best known for his appearance in the Netflix series Jamtara 2, has been found dead at the age of 25, prompting shock across the regional film community. Authorities say he was discovered hanging at his residence in Parola, in Jalgaon district.

Family members located Chandwade on October 23 and he was initially taken to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to Dhule for further treatment, but medical staff declared him dead at approximately 1:30 AM on October 24. Parola police have registered the matter as an accidental death and have launched inquiries to establish the exact circumstances.

Chandwade balanced a dual career, working in the entertainment industry while employed as a software engineer at an IT Park in Pune. Colleagues and acquaintances describe him as hardworking and humble, with a commitment to bringing realism to his roles.

In recent days he had been actively promoting his forthcoming Marathi film Asurvan, having shared the project’s motion poster on Instagram. The film, directed by Sachin Ramchandra Ambat, also features Pooja Moily and Anuj Thakare and had generated anticipation among regional audiences.

The actor’s sudden death has triggered an outpouring of tributes from peers and fans across both the Marathi and Hindi industries. Social media and industry circles have responded with condolence messages and remembrances of his work.

Chandwade’s passing has also reignited discussion about mental health and support systems within the entertainment sector. Observers say the case underscores the need for greater attention to the well‑being of young performers navigating professional pressures.

As investigations continue, the Marathi film fraternity and members of the Jamtara 2 team have been among those mourning the loss of a promising young actor whose career was cut short.
