Instagram has added a cool new feature just before World Music Day! Now, you can share the song you're listening to on Spotify directly in your Instagram Notes. This makes it super easy for your friends to see what music you're enjoying at the moment.
Here’s how it works:
When you create a Note on Instagram (the short text that shows above your DMs), you’ll now see a little music icon.
Tap on that icon, and it will ask you to connect your Spotify account.
If you’re linking it for the first time, you’ll need to log in and allow access.
Once your accounts are connected, if you are already playing a song on Spotify, it will show up in your Note.
If you’re not playing anything, no problem! The song will appear once you start playing something within 30 minutes.
You can also type a short message with the song before sharing it.
How to connect Spotify with Instagram:
Go to your Instagram settings, then tap Your app and media > App and website permissions > and link Spotify.
Another easy way: If you see a Spotify song in someone’s Reels, Story, or Notes, just tap it and choose “Link Spotify.”
This update is made to help people share music in a more fun and natural way. So whether you’re loving a new song or listening to an old favorite, now you can let your friends know—right from your Notes!
All you need to do is update your Instagram app, link your Spotify, and start sharing your music mood with your friends.
