On Wednesday, Melania Trump, the US First Lady, released the first trailer for her Amazon documentary titled "Melania." In the brief preview, she looks directly into the lens and succinctly captures her husband Donald Trump's political resurgence with the phrase: "Here we go again."
Set to premiere in theaters and on Prime Video on January 30, this documentary chronicles the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s second inauguration, showcasing the planning processes, confidential discussions, and personal moments.
The trailer features Melania gracefully navigating both the White House and her private residence in Florida, all while assisting her husband with his speeches. In key scenes, she provides input on his speeches and shares personal anecdotes, including a tender moment of placing a white flower at a gravesite.
This documentary aims to portray both Melania Trump's private and public spheres. Amazon asserts that the film offers "unprecedented access," including significant meetings, travel experiences, and behind-the-scenes photographs.
Directed by Brett Ratner, this marks his first significant undertaking following allegations of sexual misconduct in 2017, which he has since denied.
Sources reveal that Amazon's licensing arrangement for the documentary is approximated at $40 million, with Melania believed to earn 70% of this sum, generating some discussion.
With "Melania," audiences are promised an in-depth view of the First Lady's life, spotlighting her relationship with her husband and the intricacies of political maneuverings.
