His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the unveiling of the fifth edition of Make it in the Emirates at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, occurring from May 4 to 7.
Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in collaboration with significant government and industry entities such as ADNOC and the ADNEC Group, this year’s theme, “Advanced Industry. Emerging Stronger,” emphasizes the UAE's commitment to fostering innovation and industrial expansion.
During the event, Sheikh Mansour visited various pavilions, exploring cutting-edge technologies, including AI solutions and contemporary manufacturing systems. He was updated on national initiatives focused on fortifying the industrial sector, enhancing supply chains, and increasing global competitiveness for the UAE.
Recognized as the largest industrial event in the region, it gathers government officials, investors, entrepreneurs, and industry experts worldwide to discover new opportunities and forge partnerships.
On the sidelines, Sheikh Mansour conferred with Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef of Oman to discuss enhancing economic collaboration between the nations.
Sheikh Mansour reiterated that the UAE leadership is dedicated to promoting industrial growth through innovation, investment attraction, and establishing a flexible business climate. He noted that this event is integral to the nation’s economic diversification efforts and aligns with long-term plans like “We the UAE 2031” and the “UAE Centennial 2071.”
In his address, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber underscored notable growth within the industrial sector, reporting a contribution of AED 200 billion, which marks a 70% increase since 2021. Industrial exports have also surged to AED 262 billion, with advanced industries contributing AED 92 billion.
He revealed that procurement opportunities for the industrial sector will escalate to AED 180 billion over the next ten years, along with efforts to localize over 5,000 products across crucial sectors including food, healthcare, and manufacturing.
ADNOC disclosed plans for projects exceeding AED 200 billion in the next two years and launched the “Local+” initiative aimed at bolstering UAE manufacturers and strengthening local supply chains.
With over 1,245 companies across 12 sectors participating and small to medium enterprises comprising 61% of attendees, the event anticipates over 120,000 visitors.
Furthermore, the government has unveiled a AED 1 billion National Industrial Resilience Fund to assist key industries, optimize supply chains, and boost domestic production.
Make it in the Emirates 2026 seeks to transform industrial visions into tangible business prospects by announcing new projects, endorsing advanced technologies like robotics and AI, and generating job opportunities for Emiratis.
This platform remains vital in supporting startups, enticing investment, and cultivating a robust and sustainable industrial future for the UAE.
