The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre was the vibrant venue for the fourth iteration of the Tiger Obstacle Race this past Saturday, drawing in 2,300 enthusiastic participants from diverse backgrounds, all eager for adventure.
The race presented various challenging courses tailored for different age brackets:
Children (4-9 years): 800 metres
Youth (10-15 years): 1.5 kilometres
Professional: 8 kilometres
Open Category: 4 km and 8 km
Competitors conquered a variety of exhilarating obstacles, including rope climbs, icy pools, water slides, and a challenging bell climb, all designed to test their strength and endurance.
Top performers in the professional men’s and women’s categories received cash prizes totaling AED 20,000.
His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, emphasized the event's role in promoting sports as a key part of a healthy lifestyle, lauding Khorfakkan for its stunning natural scenery, an ideal backdrop for such thrilling events.
The race was made possible with the generous support of various government and private sponsors, including Sharjah Civil Defence, Sharjah Police, Sharjah Electricity, Water & Gas Authority, BEEAH, Zulal Water Factory, Shurooq, Khorfakkan Club, and Khorfakkan Municipality.
