Dubai's Al Etihad Parade: A Celebration of Unity on National Day

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In a vibrant display of national pride, Dubai is all set for the Al Etihad Parade on December 2. This event, organized by Brand Dubai and the Events Security Committee, marks the 54th Eid Al Etihad, part of the larger “National Month” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

Beginning at 3:00pm at Dubai Maritime City, the parade will kick off at 4:00pm, flowing from the Union House intersection to the Burj Al Arab intersection. Over the course of 90 minutes, this colorful event will celebrate the Spirit of the Union through a rich tapestry of culture and community.

With the help of more than 30 volunteers from the Community Development Authority, attendees will receive over 1,000 UAE flags, showcasing Dubai’s spirit of volunteerism during the “Year of the Community”.

To ensure safety and order, organizers have provided detailed guidelines for participants. Compliance with designated routes and police directions is mandatory, and safety measures include no stunts or unregulated gatherings. Passengers are required to remain seated in vehicles, and drivers must ensure clear visibility.

Strict hygiene and traffic regulations will be in place, with penalties for violations ranging from AED 10,000 to AED 100,000, potential vehicle impoundment for over 90 days, as well as black points and licence suspension.

Police will monitor the route to facilitate smooth traffic and a secure environment. Residents and citizens are urged to participate responsibly and stay tuned for official updates.

The Al Etihad Parade promises to be a highlight of Dubai’s National Day celebrations, embodying the unity and pride that defines the UAE's future.
