Dubai Taxi Company Grows Fleet with 600 Additional Licenses

The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), a prominent player in the city’s transport sector, has taken a significant step by adding 600 new taxi licenses through a recent auction by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority.

This expansion solidifies DTC's status as the largest taxi provider in Dubai, elevating its market share to 47 percent. The fleet will increase from 6,217 to 6,817 vehicles.

The introduction of these new taxis will be implemented gradually, starting in July 2026. This strategic rollout is designed to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service for customers, addressing the growing demand for transportation in the city.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, emphasized that this addition is crucial for the company's development strategy, reflecting optimism in Dubai's expanding mobility market and urban initiatives.

He further noted that the methodical integration of the fleet will enhance asset utilization, boost financial performance, and improve the overall customer experience.

This expansion is also in line with the Dubai government’s and RTA’s vision for a smart, integrated transportation system, contributing to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 that strives to establish Dubai as a frontrunner in advanced urban mobility solutions.
