The Dubai International Chamber has unveiled its new international representative office in Karachi, signifying an important advancement in fortifying economic relations between Dubai and Pakistan. This initiative is part of the 'Dubai Global' campaign, which envisions establishing 50 offices across the globe by 2030 to bolster Dubai's position in global trade.
The inauguration event in Karachi witnessed participation from UAE Consulate officials and members of Pakistan's business sector, underscoring the significance of this initiative as bilateral interactions continue to grow. In 2024, Dubai's non-oil trade with Pakistan surged to AED 22.8 billion, indicating a robust trade dynamic between the two regions.
Business activity growth is further evidenced by the remarkable increase in Pakistani companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which surged by 161% from early 2022 to the third quarter of 2025, totaling 33,110 members. Notably, over 6,800 new Pakistani enterprises joined the chamber within the initial nine months of 2025 alone.
The newly established Karachi office aims to facilitate this burgeoning commerce by assisting businesses in exploring opportunities on both sides. For Pakistani businesses, it will offer vital market insights, support for setting up operations in Dubai, and connections to the emirate's diverse network of public and private entities. Its mission includes promoting Dubai's conducive business climate and ensuring an easier market entry for firms aiming for regional or global growth.
Conversely, Dubai-based enterprises seeking to penetrate the Pakistani market will gain access to localized sector data, emerging investment opportunities, and assistance in cultivating trustworthy partnerships for assured market engagement.
With business relations accelerating and registration numbers at an all-time high, this new office is poised to play a vital role in enhancing collaboration and fostering enduring trade expansion between Dubai and Pakistan.
