This significant event underscores Dubai’s evolving role as a foremost center for digital innovation and technological expertise, while reinforcing its dedication to cultivating future-ready skills among its workforce.
The announcement was made at a press event hosted at Dubai Chambers, with key figures including Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and Dr. William B. Poucher, President, CEO, and Board Chair of the ICPC Foundation.

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three integral chambers of Dubai Chambers, is the official host for the 50th ICPC World Finals. Renowned as the largest coding competition globally, ICPC engages 63,000 students, supported by 12,000 coaches from 3,350 universities spanning 93 nations every year.
After multiple regional contests and eight ICPC Regional Championships, over 130 elite university teams will vie for the title at the 2026 ICPC World Championship in Dubai.
Significant global technology sponsors, such as Huawei, JetBrains, Google, OpenAI, Jane Street, Jump Trading, and Citadel among others, support the contest.

A Five-Day Showcase of Talent
The ICPC World Finals serve as the climax of the global season, bringing together premier student teams for five intense days of challenges culminating in a final five-hour coding contest. Each team of three will tackle complex algorithmic challenges that assess their technical acumen, collaboration, speed, and creativity.

Launched in 1970, the ICPC has become one of the most influential avenues for nurturing talent in the technology industry, with over 500,000 alumni now contributing to leading global tech firms and research organizations.
