Dubai is set to host the largest global assembly of futurists as the fourth edition of the Dubai Future Forum commences tomorrow at the Museum of the Future. Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this event will take place from 18 to 19 November, attracting over 2,500 attendees from 100 top international organizations.
Organized by the Dubai Future Foundation, this year's Forum features more than 200 speakers across 70 sessions focused on five pivotal themes: Exploring the Unknown, Empowering Societies, Reimagining Health, Optimising Systems, and Foresight Insights. The agenda is designed to illuminate how rapid global developments, new technologies, and societal challenges are reshaping our future.
This year marks the introduction of Learning Days on 17 and 20 November, collaborating with regional and global institutions to discuss topics like foresight, global security, strategic philanthropy, wearable tech, urban resilience, and the media's evolution. Closed-door sessions, roundtables, and expert panels aim to delve deeper into new opportunities and emerging risks.
In conjunction with the event, Arab News and Dubai Future Foundation held a media roundtable focused on how international media entities can adapt to rapidly progressing technologies and digital disruptions. The conversations emphasized the increasing significance of trust, policy, and responsible tech usage, particularly during the AI era.
The event will also include specialized sessions led by international collaborators. Panels focusing on global security will explore the applications of foresight tools to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes, while discussions on strategic philanthropy will address emerging, impact-driven initiatives. Sessions covering wearable technologies will trace the path from scientific inquiry to practical solutions, whereas urban resilience panels will investigate how cities are coping with climate challenges.
Day one will feature a keynote address from Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, followed by a prominent session with Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach and UAE Minister of State for AI Omar Sultan Al Olama. Various discussions throughout the day will cover topics such as building resilient societies, deciphering human consciousness, preparing industries for economic changes, and understanding what it means to be a futurist today.
Additionally, the Prototypes for Humanity – Dubai Future Solutions Exhibition 2025 commenced today at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, showcasing 100 innovative projects chosen from over 3,000 entries from 120 countries. Awards will be presented to five innovators to help bring their ideas to fruition.
The Forum will also highlight the inaugural Dubai Foresight Awards, which will honor global leaders in three categories: Foresight Change Makers, Foresight for People, and Foresight for the Planet. A Future Stories Awards Ceremony is also planned to honor creatives who motivate forward-thinking through storytelling.
Supported by prominent partners like Dubai Municipality, Emirates Global Aluminium, UNICEF, XPANCEO, The Explorers Club, and various universities, the Dubai Future Forum 2025 underscores the city's expanding influence as a center for future-shaping ideas and innovation.
