The Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) has officially launched the construction of two significant initiatives, PIXEL DHCC and IBN SINA+, as part of an ambitious AED1.3 billion development blueprint.
These initiatives are designed to bolster Dubai’s status as a premier global destination for healthcare investment while facilitating the expansion of its healthcare sector. Completion is anticipated by November 2027.
The projects were unveiled during a ceremony featuring key figures including Issam Galadari, CEO of DHCA, Dr. Khalil Charif from International Foundation Group LLC (IFG), and Roula El Hachem Terrien, CEO of Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR), among other prominent officials and stakeholders.
Issam Galadari emphasized that these initiatives represent a vital move towards providing high-quality and sustainable healthcare facilities. He noted that they will attract increased investment, including foreign direct investment, while aligning with both the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
The PIXEL DHCC will serve as a contemporary office building, marking the first LEED Platinum-certified structure in the healthcare city. Encompassing 13,000 square metres spread over nine floors, it will offer adaptable office spaces along with retail units on the ground floor, designed by P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd.
Meanwhile, IBN SINA+ is intended to be a new medical complex envisioned by Dubai’s own DAR. This facility will span 5,800 square metres across five floors, providing spaces for surgeries, diagnostics, outpatient care, and medical offices as an extension of the existing IBN SINA structure.
Moreover, the DHCA is also investing in essential infrastructure enhancements to improve accessibility and accommodate the expanding healthcare community within Dubai Healthcare City.
