Delhi Crime Season 3 Trailer Unveils Nationwide Trafficking Probe and a New Mastermind

Post by : Mina Rahman

The International Emmy-winning series Delhi Crime is set to return for a third instalment, and its freshly released trailer outlines a wide-ranging human-trafficking inquiry alongside a formidable new adversary.

Shefali Shah resumes her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, with Rajesh Tailang as Inspector Bhupendra Singh and Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh IPS. The new season introduces Huma Qureshi as a central figure referred to as Badi Didi, implicated at the heart of the criminal network.

Key developments revealed in the trailer:

  • Authorities intercept a truck in Delhi containing 30 young girls, triggering an investigation that extends to Silchar, Mumbai, Surat and Rohtak.

  • Preliminary inquiries indicate the victims were deceived with false employment offers and subsequently sold within the country or moved overseas.

  • Investigators are also tracking a potentially related incident in which a woman leaves her two-year-old child at the AIIMS trauma centre in Delhi.

  • DCP Vartika urges the formation of a specialised task force to connect the disparate leads and break the trafficking chain.

  • The trailer positions Huma Qureshi's Badi Didi as a key orchestrator, elevating the stakes for the police probe.

  • Hints in the preview point to cross-border elements, suggesting the enquiry may extend beyond India.

Directed by Tanuj Chopra, Delhi Crime Season 3 will begin streaming on November 13.

First released in March 2019, Season 1 dramatized the 2012 Delhi assault and helped establish the series' reputation. Season 2 arrived in August 2022, focusing on the Chaddi Baniyan Gang. The show earned the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020.
