The number of Palestinians who have died in the Gaza Strip has now reached 55,637, according to reports from doctors and hospitals in the area. Most of the people who lost their lives are women and children. These deaths have happened since October 7, 2023.
The same reports also say that 129,880 people have been injured. Many others are still missing, as they are stuck under the destroyed buildings. Rescue teams and emergency workers are finding it very hard to reach them because of the heavy damage everywhere.
In the occupied West Bank, things are also getting worse. The Israeli army has continued to destroy Palestinian homes. On the same day, soldiers and bulldozers entered the Jenin refugee camp, which is located in the north of the West Bank.
They tore down houses in the Al-Damj neighborhood and in the eastern part of the camp. Local Palestinian sources confirmed the demolition.
This ongoing conflict has caused huge suffering for many families, especially those who have lost their homes or loved ones. Emergency workers are doing all they can, but the situation is very serious.
