Since the launch of its transplant center in 2017, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has initiated numerous groundbreaking procedures within the UAE and the broader region. Highlights include performing the country’s first combined heart and lung transplant in 2024, the inaugural robotic lung transplant in 2025, and the first triple-paired kidney donation exchange in 2023. The center has also made strides with innovative combined lung-liver transplants and simultaneous robotic kidney surgeries, solidifying its status as a pioneer in complex organ transplants.

Standing out in the UAE healthcare sector, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi boasts a specialized ICU dedicated to multi-organ transplants, alongside being the only facility offering lung transplants in the nation.
