Rapper and singer Badshah, known for his love of luxury watches, recently made headlines by showcasing one of the rarest Rolex watches in the world. The 40-year-old artist posted pictures on Instagram flaunting the ultra-exclusive Barbie Daytona Rolex, becoming the first Indian to own this exceptional timepiece.
The Barbie Rolex is an off-catalogue creation, with only 10 pieces in existence worldwide. The watch is crafted from 18-carat yellow gold and adorned with nearly 40 pink-cut sapphires on the bezel and 12 more as hour markers on the dial. The distinctive pink design has earned it the unofficial nickname “Barbie” among collectors, though Rolex itself does not use this name. The watch belongs to the legendary Daytona collection, which was first launched in 1963 and remains one of the world’s most iconic chronographs.
Badshah shared images of the watch on Instagram on December 18, 2025, including a close-up shot from the sets of Indian Idol, showing off the luxurious timepiece on his wrist. According to The Indian Horology, the Barbie Daytona Rolex has a retail price of $395,000 (approximately ₹3.56 crore). However, due to its extreme rarity and exclusivity, its market value is estimated at around $1 million (around ₹9.02 crore), making it one of the most coveted and expensive Rolex watches in the world.
This is not the first time the Barbie Daytona Rolex has attracted global attention. International celebrities such as Lionel Messi, Drake, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Mark Wahlberg, Mirka Federer, and Caroline Wozniacki have all been spotted wearing this rare timepiece. By acquiring this watch, Badshah joins the ranks of some of the most recognized personalities in sports and entertainment who are passionate about haute horology.
Badshah’s acquisition of the Barbie Rolex reflects his taste for rare and exquisite luxury items. Known for his flamboyant style, the rapper has consistently shared his collection of high-end watches on social media, earning admiration from fans and collectors alike. This latest addition not only enhances his status as a luxury watch connoisseur but also sets a benchmark for Indian celebrities in the world of haute horology.
In conclusion, Badshah’s Barbie Rolex acquisition is a testament to his bold style and passion for rare collectibles. As the first Indian to own this ultra-rare $1 million timepiece, he has once again drawn global attention, showcasing the growing influence of Indian celebrities in luxury fashion and lifestyle circles.
