Anushka Sharma Notices Viral Fan Clip After Kohli’s Public Acknowledgement

Post by : Mina Rahman

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s relationship, often highlighted in public discussion, resurfaced online after a fan-produced clip captured the actress’s attention.

The short video, created by a Kohli admirer, used exaggerated comedy to portray shock after the cricketer acknowledged that Anushka stood by him during a difficult spell in his career. In the footage the creator theatrically leaps from a window and sheds tears while chopping onions, accompanied by the caption:
“When Virat Kohli said that only Anushka Sharma supported him during his downfall.”

The clip spread rapidly and prompted a mix of amused and sincere responses across social platforms. Commenters wrote things like, “Dhokebaaaz ho aap Kohli bhai” and “Anushka liked this. I think she showed this to Virat.”

Virat’s Tribute to Anushka

The viral moment traces back to Kohli’s emotional remarks in November last year, made after he reached his 81st international century against Australia in Perth. He publicly credited Anushka for remaining supportive during a challenging period in his career.

Speaking to Adam Gilchrist, he said:
“Anushka has been right by my side through thick and thin. She knows everything that goes on behind the scenes… I take pride in performing for the country.”

The Couple’s Journey

Having dated for about four years, Kohli and Sharma married privately in Italy in December 2017. They welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and their son Akaay on February 15, 2024. The family is currently based in London.
