Rock legends AC/DC will return to Canada in 2026 as part of their Power Up tour, staging four large-scale stadium concerts. The Australian band will visit Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto under the banner of their 2020 album, Power Up.
The itinerary opens in Edmonton on August 9, 2026, at Commonwealth Stadium, which holds about 56,400 spectators. "Events of this scale attract attendees from across the region and beyond," said Heather Seutter, the stadium director, as she welcomed the prospect of hosting the veteran act.
Next on the Canadian leg is a performance at Vancouver's BC Place on August 13, after which the group will continue to dates in the United States. AC/DC then returns north for a Montreal concert at Parc Jean-Drapeau on September 12 — a site with capacity for up to 65,000 fans and one that will also present Iron Maiden a week earlier.
The final Canadian engagement is scheduled for September 16, 2026, at Rogers Stadium in downtown Toronto. American rock outfit The Pretty Reckless will support AC/DC on all Canadian dates, adding a notable opening act to each show.
Tickets for the Canadian performances are set to be released on Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Having sold in excess of 200 million records worldwide, AC/DC remain a defining presence in rock history. Formed in Sydney in 1973, the band rose to global prominence with landmark albums such as Highway to Hell (1979) and Back in Black (1980), renowned for their driving riffs and high-voltage stagecraft led by co-founder Angus Young.
Despite personnel changes over the decades and the 2017 death of co-founder Malcolm Young, AC/DC continue to tour internationally. The Power Up lineup on this run lists Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on vocals, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums and Chris Chaney on bass.
AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, a formal recognition of their enduring influence on popular music.
