A worker was killed after a powerful explosion struck a fuel storage facility in Türkiye, causing a large fire and prompting a major emergency response from local authorities and firefighters.

The incident took place at a biodiesel and fuel storage facility in the southern Turkish province of Mersin. According to local reports, the explosion occurred inside a fuel tank area during operations at the plant. Thick black smoke quickly spread into the sky as flames engulfed parts of the facility.
