Police in Los Angeles have launched an investigation after a U-Haul truck entered an active protest area, creating fear and confusion among people gathered at the scene. The incident happened during a public demonstration when the vehicle moved into a crowd zone that was meant for pedestrians.
According to early reports, no serious injuries were immediately confirmed, but several people were forced to move quickly to avoid the truck. Videos shared on social media show the vehicle surrounded by protesters as police rushed in to control the situation.
Law enforcement officers detained the driver and secured the area shortly after the incident. Authorities are now reviewing surveillance footage, witness statements, and the driver’s actions to determine whether the act was intentional or accidental.
Police officials said they are treating the matter seriously due to recent global incidents where vehicles have been used to disrupt protests. However, they cautioned against speculation until the investigation is complete.
The incident has once again raised concerns about protest safety in large cities and the need for stronger crowd control measures. City officials urged protesters to remain calm and follow police instructions as the inquiry continues.
