Post by : Shakul

S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University has announced an international competition named “The Role of Youth in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” commemorating World Environment Day and the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

This event will welcome not only local Turkmen students but also those from various countries, aiming to foster a platform for presenting innovative ideas and research addressing global sustainability challenges.

The primary goal is to showcase the contribution of young researchers towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, urging them to develop forward-thinking solutions and scientific concepts to tackle critical global issues.

Participants can submit projects in six key areas: zero hunger, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, climate action, life below water, and life on land, which align with universal sustainability efforts.

The competition will occur in two phases, accepting submissions in Turkmen, English, and Russian languages. The first phase requires entries to be sent to the organizing committee via email by May 10.

All submissions will undergo careful examination by a jury panel, with top entries progressing to the final stage, and selected participants being announced on the university’s official website on May 20.

The final presentations are scheduled from June 1 to June 5, during which participants will showcase their projects online to a central organizing committee and subject matter experts.

Judging will focus on criteria such as relevance, innovation, presentation clarity, feasibility, and overall quality, ensuring recognition of well-prepared and impactful projects.

This competition aims to nurture talented youth, facilitate knowledge exchange, and raise awareness regarding environmental protection and sustainable resource management. It also seeks to enhance international teamwork in addressing global issues.
