In the world of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, excitement is brewing as the Tera Raid event featuring Goodra the Unrivaled approaches. This impressive Seven-Star Dragon Pokemon will make a limited-time appearance in raid dens, providing trainers with a golden opportunity to enhance their skills and expand their Pokemon roster.
Goodra, a pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokemon first introduced in Pokemon X and Y, hails from the Kalos region. Known for its remarkable special defense and versatile offensive moves, Goodra evolves from Sliggoo when leveled up under rainy conditions. Additionally, both Sliggoo and Goodra have Hisuian forms in Legends: Arceus, introducing Steel as a secondary type.
With a varied moveset including Dragon Pulse, Surf, Poison Tail, and Earthquake, Goodra showcases its versatility in battles. Its unique abilities—Sap Sipper, Gooey, and Hydration—demand that trainers meticulously craft their strategies. Notably, Sap Sipper grants Goodra immunity to Grass-type moves while boosting its attack, pushing trainers to innovate their tactics accordingly.
The Tera Raid kicks off on Thursday, November 20, at 7:00 PM Eastern and continues until Sunday, November 23, 6:59 PM Eastern. For those unable to participate in the first wave, a second chance awaits from November 27 to 30. During this event, Goodra the Unrivaled will showcase a Water-type Tera form, rewarding victorious trainers with the prestigious Mightiest Mark.
Despite Goodra's impressive special defenses, its physical defense leaves much to be desired. This creates a tactical advantage for skilled trainers who can uncover weaknesses when Goodra's abilities are neutralized. Techniques that impair abilities, such as Gastro Acid or Skill Swap, become crucial. Once Goodra's defenses are compromised, Pokemon like Iron Hands or Serperior can unleash significant damage for a win.
As trainers gear up for this thrilling confrontation, mastering Goodra’s strengths and weaknesses, along with strategic approaches, will be essential. This Tera Raid event promises to challenge both individual skills and team dynamics, establishing it as a much-anticipated highlight in Scarlet and Violet for November.
