The Al Dhafra Youth Council has launched the Youth Imprint initiative during the Liwa International Festival 2026, underscoring the pivotal role of youth in supporting national events and community service.
This initiative seeks to foster active youth involvement through impactful projects that incorporate social, cultural, and sports dimensions during the festival. It serves as a collaborative platform uniting youth efforts and various partner organizations to create unique experiences that showcase the capabilities of young individuals.
The Youth Imprint initiative signifies the first thorough integration of youth councils within the framework of the Liwa International Festival, emphasizing the increasing significance of structured youth engagement in supporting major events and enhancing community impact.
Over 15 partners, including governmental, ministerial, and private sectors, along with youth councils, have cooperated on this initiative, aiming to empower young people and boost their involvement in community affairs. The program has engaged more than 600 participants from various youth and community backgrounds across the UAE.
Throughout the festival, the Council arranged eight varied activities, including dialogue sessions, youth circles, workshops, cinema festivals, community engagements, and sports tournaments. These events aimed to cultivate essential skills, promote leadership, and provide avenues for dialogue and experience sharing among the youth.
A highlight of the initiative was the introduction of the inaugural Tebah Challenge and a Padel Tournament for youth councils, designed to enhance communication, teamwork, and healthy competition among youth councils across the nation.
Various youth circles engaged with significant social themes such as “From the Year of Community to the Year of Family” and “Youth Challenges with Awareness and Responsibility,” enhancing their understanding of social cohesion and community principles.
The Council also facilitated the Knots of Liwa activation in partnership with The Knot, a family-oriented event that featured a collective art installation inspired by traditional Emirati craftsmanship, symbolizing the essence of Liwa and reinforcing national identity.
Additionally, the Community Dialogue initiative, Dalma of the Future: Innovative Solutions for Community Empowerment, brought to light development challenges faced in remote areas, showcasing innovative solutions aimed at enhancing community well-being.
The Al Dhafra Youth Council noted that their broad collaborations across various sectors significantly amplified the initiative's impact, showcasing unified efforts to empower youth and support the UAE’s developmental objectives.
This Youth Imprint initiative is indicative of the Council’s ongoing commitment to the UAE’s vision, which seeks to invest in youth, promote their proactive participation in community development, and boost their engagement in significant national events, particularly within the Al Dhafra region.
