On Thursday, Liwa Sports Club hosted the second edition of the Purebred Arabian Horse Race, attracting prominent horse owners, riders, and fans from the Al Dhafra area. This event underscored the ongoing commitment to preserving and promoting purebred horse racing, which is integral to the regional equestrian legacy.

The opening race spanned 1,700 metres, with "Al Habeeb," owned by Ali Suhail Ali Al Mazrouei, securing the victory. Close behind was "Safeer," owned by Ahmed Mohammed Fan Al Muhairbi, in second place, while "Sand," owned by Saif A’shair Ali Al Mazrouei, finished third. Attendees witnessed an exhilarating display of speed, stamina, and talent from both horses and riders.

The subsequent race, taking place over a distance of 1,400 metres, was equally captivating. "Maktoob," again owned by Ali Suhail Ali Al Mazrouei, emerged victorious, showcasing remarkable speed. "Janjal," owned by Saif A’shair Ali Al Mazrouei, captured the second spot, followed by "Meeqat," owned by Fan Mohammed Fan, in third. The event highlighted the rigorous training and dedication of the competing stables.

Liwa Sports Club reaffirmed that this race is part of a broader initiative to uphold the tradition of purebred Arabian horse racing. By organizing such events, the club aims to safeguard the rich equestrian culture of Al Dhafra and inspire future generations of riders and owners to actively engage in this cherished sport.

The races drew significant attention from local horse enthusiasts, professional riders, and communities alike.
