Fresh Prospects for Tourism and Air Travel Between Kyrgyzstan and UAE

Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, engaged in an important dialogue with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates aimed at enhancing collaboration in tourism, air transport, trade, and investment opportunities. This meeting was hosted at the Yntymak Ordo Presidential Administration complex in Bishkek.

Kasymaliev emphasized the UAE's status as a crucial economic ally for Kyrgyzstan in the Middle East, underscoring the Kyrgyz government's dedication to fostering bilateral relations and uncovering new avenues for beneficial collaboration that would drive economic growth and strengthen regional ties.

A primary concern during the discussions was the growth of the tourism sector. Leaders from both nations explored ways to enhance visitor exchanges and improve partnerships among tourism authorities, businesses, and investors. Kyrgyzstan seeks to highlight its stunning mountains, rich cultural heritage, and adventure tourism experiences to attract more travelers from the Gulf region.

The two sides also focused on expanding air connectivity between both nations. Strengthening aviation routes is anticipated to bolster tourism, business travel, and trade while unlocking fresh economic collaboration opportunities. Discussions included strategies to enhance the number of flight routes and improve access between major urban centers in both countries.

Kasymaliev conveyed his appreciation to the UAE delegation and Air Arabia for their assistance in evacuating Kyrgyz citizens from the UAE in March 2026. In recognition of this support, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic awarded Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation to the representatives.

Another critical topic tackled was investment cooperation. Kyrgyzstan welcomed UAE investors to engage in substantial national development initiatives, particularly within tourism infrastructure, logistics, and other strategic sectors. Official participants noted that attracting foreign investments is vital for sustainable long-term economic progress.

Both delegations concluded their discussions with a commitment to continue close collaboration aimed at advancing tourism, expanding air travel options, strengthening trade connections, and promoting greater investment cooperation, illustrating a shared goal of deepening economic relationships that yield benefits for both nations.
