Two big companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — Shaiva Group and Taranis Capital — have promised to invest ₹2,125 crore in the Indian state of Telangana. They signed special agreements, called memoranda of understanding (MoUs), with five companies based in Telangana. The event took place at the state Secretariat on Tuesday in the presence of Telangana's IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu.
Minister Sridhar Babu said that the government welcomes both Shaiva Group and Taranis Capital for becoming partners in Telangana’s growth. He shared that this investment will help create jobs for 5,020 people across the state.
The minister explained that under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the state government is working hard to bring in more investment and jobs. In the last 18 months, over 60,000 government jobs have been filled, and investments worth more than ₹3 lakh crore have come into the state. These efforts have also helped create over one lakh jobs in private companies.
Sridhar Babu also shared more exciting news. He said both UAE companies are planning to invest another ₹24,000 crore in the next three years. This money will be used in advanced fields like biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, defense, energy, financial technology (fintech), and public infrastructure.
In biotechnology, the focus will be on making food products with less sugar, developing new treatments for diabetes, and working on big projects like "Fourth City" and "AI City".
Minister Sridhar Babu also responded to people who say that companies are leaving Telangana and no new investments are coming. He said that such claims are not true and that people should look at the real facts before believing such statements.
Talking about skill development, the minister said that the youth are the state’s biggest strength. But, he also mentioned that many graduates are not ready for jobs as soon as they finish college. To solve this problem, the state has set up a new institution called the "Young India Skills University". This university will offer training that matches global standards and helps students gain the skills that industries are looking for.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of many important people, including:
Amit Jagannath Varma, Chairman and CEO of Shaiva Group
Nicholas S Bingham, CEO of Taranis Capital
Ravichandra Beeram, MD of Revelations Biotech
Jashwant Pranav Yathirajam, Director of Manakin Bio
Sankarsh Chanda, CEO of Svobodha Infinity Advisers
Panduranga Rao Tammineni, Director of Exigent Drilling Technology Pvt Ltd
Sameer Kanth, CEO of Yentra Tech Controls
Roy Din Roach, former MLA
This big investment is expected to boost Telangana’s economy, support innovation, and open up many job opportunities for its young people.
