Border 2 Surpasses ₹213 Crore, Shatters Box Office Records

Post by : Mina Rahman

Sunny Deol’s Border 2 keeps its strong hold on the Indian box office, now reporting a total of over ₹213 crore within just six days of its launch. Debuted on January 23, the film maintains impressive traction, even on weekdays.

It launched with a robust ₹30 crore on day one, further escalating to ₹36.5 crore on Saturday—the peak for a single day so far. Collections soared nearly 50% on Sunday, reaching ₹54.7 crore, propelling Border 2 into the elite ₹100 crore club.

Republic Day Monday marked its pinnacle, drawing in ₹59 crore. The day-to-day earnings impressively continued with ₹20 crore on Tuesday, followed by ₹13 crore on Wednesday, all achieved without any ticket discounts, underscoring profound audience loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.

Border 2 has shown outstanding performance in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with audiences turning out in droves. The strong backing from these non-metro regions has significantly contributed to its box office triumph.

The film has outshined the opening weekend revenues of various blockbuster titles, reaffirming Sunny Deol’s star status and the rising appetite for high-quality action cinema in India. With steady earnings, Border 2 is set to achieve even greater milestones in the near future.
